Every house keeps score.
A dying matriarch names an unlikely heir — and a house built on ritual begins choosing its next mistress.
The Onyx estate has passed through seven generations of women, each one chosen by the house as much as by the family. When the matriarch’s health fails, the candidates gather for a winter of tests disguised as tradition. The housekeeper keeps the keys. The lawyer keeps the will. And the house, as always, keeps score.

The Terms

One negotiation per season: two people, one contract, and everything neither of them will say out loud.
Every season of The Terms takes place in a single room, over a single document. An advocate drafts; a client resists; and somewhere between the clauses, the real arrangement starts writing itself. The pen never leaves the table.

Vespers
Some traditions answer back.
At a house that trains women to command, a new prefect finds the old rites turning into quiet revolt.
Vespers has stood for a century, teaching presence, protocol, and command to the women sent there. Its rituals are older than its rules, and stricter. When a new prefect arrives with orders to modernise, she discovers that the house and its students have their own ideas about what must be kept — and what must be answered.

The Ledger
Everyone owes something.
Two sisters inherit a shipping fortune and a ledger of everyone who owes them — one collects kindly, the other with interest.
Their father kept two books: the harbour business everyone traded against, and the ledger only the family ever read. Now the sisters own both, and the names in the second book are clients, magistrates, and brides. One sister intends to forgive what the family is owed. The other intends to collect.

Small Surrenders
One winter. One rule at a time.
A burned-out surgeon rents a room from a retired pianist, and over one long winter they trade control for trust.
Nadia Maret stops operating on the day she stops trusting her own hands. She takes a room in a cold apartment from Ilse Bergman, a pianist who no longer performs and who keeps house rules with quiet precision. Neither of them is looking for company. Each of them is very good at noticing. By spring, the arrangement has rewritten itself, one small surrender at a time.

The protocol chief of a fading court decides who kneels to whom — until the order she upholds turns on her.
For thirty years, Ottoline Braith has arranged the court: seating, precedence, the exact distance between a bow and an insult. When a new marriage rearranges the table, precedent becomes a weapon, and the only person who knows every rule is the only person with no rank at all. The court will obey the order. The question is who writes it next.

There is a room on the quiet side of a tall old building, kept by an arrangement its visitors never explain and its keeper never breaks. Each episode spends one hour with one visitor: what they brought through the door, what they said out loud, and what changed while nobody was watching.

The series feature is built, but it is not live yet. The slate on this page is a concept preview; the first real series will be announced and published with the beta.
What counts as a series?
A story told in parts: a series, seasons, and episodes. It can be six cinematic episodes, an anthology with a new cast each season, or a single-room character study.
How long is an episode?
The creator decides. Episodes run from a few minutes to a full hour, and the shelf shows the length before anyone presses play.
How do fans get access?
The creator picks one of five models: a free premiere, per-episode unlocks, a season pass, a series pass, or subscriber-only access included with a tier.
Will series show up in the feed?
Yes. Every published episode lands in the feed as a post, so it reaches the audience a creator already has instead of a separate channel.
